Teens and Tweens! Be creative and use your camera to capture the beauty of Canada. Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • An iconic skyline
  • Distinctly Canadian animals
  • Ketchup chips in Kraft peanut butter smothered with maple syrup
  • A bunch of red things
  • Anything that makes you proud to be a Canadian

Entries will be judged by members of the St. Catharines Photographic Club in two age categories: one for tweens (9-14) and one for teens (15-18).

Submissions may be submitted electronically or in person at any St. Catharines Public Library location.

Contest Rules

  1. Contest is open to St. Catharines and Niagara residents between the ages of 9 and 18.
  2. There will be two categories – one for tweens (9-14) and one for teens (15-18).
  3. Photographs must be shot and developed between April 1st, 2017 and July 31st, 2017.
  4. All submissions must be your own work.
  5. Photographs can be entered in digital or print format. Print photographs cannot exceed 8” x 10” and digital photographs cannot exceed 5 MB. Digital photos should be no larger than 1024 pixels wide and 768 pixels high, and should have a resolution of at least 72dpi.
  6. Only one photo per person may be entered.
  7. A completed entry form (online or paper copy) must be submitted with your photo. Do not write your name anywhere on your photograph.
  8. People cannot be present in the photograph! If people are present in your photograph, it will not be displayed.
  9. Photographs will not be returned to participants.
