Support Your Library
The St. Catharines Public Library has been serving the community since 1888. People of all ages and walks of life have benefited from its services and facilities. You can support the Library through our Endowment and Trust Fund or Honour With Books.
Endowment and Trust Fund
In 1988, the Library's Centennial year, the Library Board established an Endowment and Trust Fund in order to further improve library services in St. Catharines. Your gift to the Endowment and Trust Fund will help sustain the collections and services to meet the changing and increasing needs of the community.
The Endowment and Trust funds will be used to support library service
Endowment and Trust funds are used to:
- purchase materials for the collections
- expand programs
- purchase special furniture and equipment
You can give:
- a gift of cash
- a gift of property
- a gift by will or codicil
- a gift of insurance by designating the Fund as your beneficiary
You may also request that your gift be used:
- to mark a special occasion
- to be a memorial
- to show appreciation
You may choose to direct your donation to a specific library service or collection such as:
- Audio Book Collection
- equipment for the disabled
- programs for children, teens, adults or seniors
Or you may prefer that your gift be used for purposes specified by the Board.
Tax Deductible
Contributions are tax deductible and receipts are issued for all donations of $10.00 or more. Donors are recognized in the Library newsletter unless instructed otherwise.

Honour with Books
The St. Catharines Public Library offers you a unique and distinctive way to pay tribute to someone you love, a family member, a colleague, or a friend - on the occasion of a birthday, an anniversary or as a memorial.
Your donation will enable the St. Catharines Public Library to purchase books, DVDs and CDs for the Library - items that will provide hours of enjoyment for everyone in your community.
A card will be sent to acknowledge your gift as specified on the form, and a distinctive bookplate will be placed in a new book in his/her name.
Contributions are tax deductible and receipts are issued for all donations of $10.00 or more.
All “Honour With Books” donations are recognized in the Library newsletter unless instructed otherwise.
