Donation Opportunities to Support Your Library
The St. Catharines Public Library has been serving the community since 1888. People of all ages and walks of life have benefited from its services and facilities. You can participate in building one of your community's most valuable resources through a variety of donation programs which are listed below.
All contributions of $10 or more are tax deductible. Tax receipts are issued as per the guidelines for each donation program.

Donations of Materials
The Library accepts donations of materials from individuals and groups. Where possible the Library will add the items to the collections as per the Materials Selection Policy or the Special Collections Policy. It is understood that gifts are given freely without conditions attached, unless specifically negotiated beforehand. Download brochure
Honour with Books
The Library offers you a distinctive way to pay tribute to someone who has made a difference in your life, a family member, a friend, a colleague - on the occasion of a birthday, an anniversary, or as a memorial. A distinctive book plate will be placed in a new book, acknowledging the individual. Tax receipts are issued. Download brochure
Endowment and Trust Fund
The Endowment and Trust fund was established in 1988 in order to improve library services in St. Catharines. Donations to the fund are used to purchase materials for the collections, expand programs, purchase special equipment. You can give a gift of cash, a gift of property, a gift by will or codicil, a gift of insurance. Download brochure
Donor Wall at the Centennial Library - Feathers for the Owl
The Centennial Library has Donor Wall. The donor wall includes a wall mounted sculpture of an Owl. Name plaques resembling feathers may be acquired by individuals or groups which are then added to the donor wall. Download brochure

Donor Wall at the Grantham Branch - Friends of Grantham
Donations can also be made to the 'Friends of Grantham Donor Wall." Friends will be recognized with a name plaque on the donor wall in one of the following categories: Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze. Download brochure
Name Rights - Grantham Branch
The creation of the new Grantham Branch provides opportunities for naming rights and are listed below:
- Naming Rights for the Branch
- Naming Rights for the Program Room
- Naming Rights for the Reading Area and/or Fireplace.
